اُن میں سے ایک تم ہو ، جو آتے ہو تو بہت ستاتے ہو
دریچہ کھولتے ہو، شکل دکھاتے ہو اور چلے جاتے ہو

دریچے ہی کو دیکھتا ہے وہ کہ کب کھُلے
تُو آئے ، پاس بیٹھے ، ہنسے کھیلے ، مِلے جُلے

پھر سوچتا ہے کہ یاد تو کرتے ہی ہوں گے
محبت پرانی ہے ، دم تو بھرتے ہی ہوں گے

سمجھاتا ہوں روز اُسے
کہ اپنوں سے کبھی گلہ نہیں کرتے
ملال یوں نہیں کرتے

پوچھتا ہے بار بار بچوں کی طرح
ایک لمحہ تو لگتا ہے
